Rose Pappas (she/her), MA

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#132320)

About Myself

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Growing up with one older sister and two therapist parents, I loved to listen and cared deeply for others. In my twenties, I worked with children from a vast range of cultural backgrounds and family structures. Serving these families and getting to know the struggles they faced, I wanted to help at a deeper level. It inspired me to become a therapist and empower others to build the fulfilling lives and relationships they crave.

Education

I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and my Bachelor’s degree in Child and Human Development from Ashford University.

Training

With a deep commitment to fostering emotional and relational well-being, I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families, as well as Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) for individuals. This allows me to provide tailored support, helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes effectively. Additionally, my dedication to promoting a healthy body image is reflected in my training and certification as a Body Positive Group Facilitator through The Body Positive.

Approach

I believe that our early experiences, our cultures, and our intersecting identities shape who we are, how we protect ourselves, and what we need to feel seen and loved. I work through a trauma-informed, multicultural, attachment-based lens. I trust your internal wisdom and resilience. Sometimes all we need is a safe place to clarify what we are struggling with and what we want and need in life. I look forward to hearing how I can support you.
