Rose Pappas (she/her), MA
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#132320)
About Myself
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Growing up with one older sister and two therapist parents, I loved to listen and cared deeply for others. In my twenties, I worked with children from a vast range of cultural backgrounds and family structures. Serving these families and getting to know the struggles they faced, I wanted to help at a deeper level. It inspired me to become a therapist and empower others to build the fulfilling lives and relationships they crave.
Education
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and my Bachelor’s degree in Child and Human Development from Ashford University.
Training
I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), for use with couples and families and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) for work with individuals. I also have training around Body Image work and am a Certified Body Positive Group Facilitator (through The Body Positive).
Approach
I believe that our early experiences, our cultures, and our intersecting identities shape who we are, how we protect ourselves, and what we need to feel seen and loved. I work through a trauma-informed, multicultural, attachment-based lens. I trust your internal wisdom and resilience. Sometimes all we need is a safe place to clarify what we are struggling with and what we want and need in life. I look forward to hearing how I can support you.
